US Embassy delegation visits Adiala Jail

A delegation from the US Embassy visited Adiala Jail today.

According to prison sources, a three-member delegation from the American Embassy was given consular access to the convict Zahir Jaffer. The delegation met with the convict Zahir Jaffer in the Deputy Superintendent’s room. The meeting lasted for 30 minutes and after that the delegation returned.

They added that the US embassy delegation included Michael Murphy, Osama Hanif and Naveed Ghazi.

It should be remembered that the accused Zahir Jaffer is imprisoned after the court sentence in the murder case of Noor Muqaddam, the daughter of a former diplomat.

Zahir Jaffer, the alleged killer of Noor Muqaddam, also holds US citizenship and has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against his death sentence.
