US supports MBS’s Pakistan visit: State Dept

The US has said that it supports and appreciates the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan.

US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a press briefing that there has been no change in our position regarding the Pakistani elections.

He added that America does not support any specific political party in Pakistan.

According to Matthew Miller, US Ambassador Donald Bloom met with the leader of the opposition Omar Ayub and others in which economic reforms, human rights, regional security and bilateral relations were discussed.

In addition, he said that Iran and Pakistan have had limited conflicts in the past.

It should be noted that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is likely to visit Pakistan next week.
