The Lahore Hight Court has accepted the petitions against the anti-terrorism court’s decision approving  physical remand of PTI founder in 12 cases.

The LHC had declared the ATC decision as null and void.

The court also declared the notification of PTI founder’s appearance via video-link invalid.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Tariq Saleem and Justice Anwar-ul-Haq of the Lahore High Court heard the petitions against physical remand in 12 cases of founder PTI, while the Prosecutor General Punjab gave arguments in the case.

In the hearing, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh said that you cannot force the accused to undergo photogrammatic test. Justice Anwarul Haque Pannu remarked that when did you get the idea that modern devices should be used now?

Prosecutor General Punjab Farhad Ali Shah said in his arguments that the facility of photogrammatic test is inside the jail and the accused does not have to be taken outside.

Later, the court ruling on the petitions against Imran Khan’s physical remand in 12 cases invalidated the physical remand and also declared null and void the notification of appearance of PTI founder via video-link.
