Cristiano Ronaldo breaks 10mn YouTube subscribers record
Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo has created YouTube history as he reached a 10 million subscribers mark in a record time.
Just after launching his YouTube channel, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner hit the million subscribers mark with in first 90 minutes.
Moreover, Ronaldo also broke the record for the fastest channel to reach 10 million subscribers within 24 hours.
At the time of filling the story his channel has already cross 12 million subscribers.
Previously, the record was held by Hamster Kombat, who reached the milestone in seven days.
The 39-year-old currently plays for the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr and has represented Portugal in international tournaments for more than two decades.
In his first video, he addressed the fans saying: “The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey.”
A couple of hours after posting his first video, 1.69 million subscribers had joined the newly launched digital channel.
He is currently the most followed person on social media with 112.5 million followers on the X platform, 170 million on Facebook and 636 million on Instagram.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United player is preparing for his team’s Saudi Pro League opener against Al-Raed on Thursday.
