Govinda shares first message after getting shot by his own pistol
Bollywood superstar Govind Arjun Ahuja aka Govinda sustained a bullet wound after a accidental fire from his personal pistol at his residence.
According to the Times of India report, the incident took place at 5:00 am today (Tuesday) when the 60-year-old actor and Shiv Sena leader was alone in his Juhu home at the time of the incident.
“We had a show in Calcutta and a 6 am flight, I had reached the airport and Govinda was leaving for airport when he was accidentally shot in the leg,” the actor’s manager Shashi Sinha said in an initial statement.
Sinha further said the licenced revolver fell while keeping it in the cupboard and accidentally fired. It is God’s grace that Govinda only got hurt on one leg and his injury is not critical, he added.
The manager added that after a minor operation at the hospital, the bullet was removed from Govinda’s leg.
Later, the actor in a social media post thanks his fans for their prayers in his first message after the incident.
