Notorious Shahid Lund killed in Kathca operation: Police

Notorious Shahid Lund, the ringleader of Kathca area’s Lund gang, was killed in an encounter, Police said Saturday.

Initially, it was reported that Shahid was killed by one of his own associates, but later Police claimed he was shot in a joint operation by Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur police.

Shahid Lund had been on the run for some time with police placed a reward of Rs10 million on his capture.

Meanwhile, the inspector general of police lauded the successful operation by the police forces of Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.

Earlier, two police personnel embraced martyrdom, while two others were injured as Sindh Rangers and Police carried out a joint operation against Katcha area dacoits.
