Iran ambassador pays tribute to Allama Iqbal

The Iranian Embassy in Karachi has greeted the entire Pakistan nation on the occasion of the birth anniversary of poet Allama Iqbal.

The Iranian Embassy issued a statement saying that Allama Iqbal chose Persian language to transmit his great and high ideas. Iqbal is considered to be a common link in the deep and historical relations between Iran and Pakistan.

According to the statement, the Iranian Embassy described “Allama Muhammad Iqbal” as an Iran-friendly poet, philosopher and Muslim thinker.

The Iranian Embassy said that even today Muslims around the world feel the need for Iqbal’s views.

“Allama Iqbal’s thoughts teach Islamic awakening, unity, self-realization, freedom and justice,” they added.

“On the birth anniversary of this great Eastern philosopher, I extend my greetings to the nation and government of Pakistan and those who love Iqbal,” said Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

According to a statement issued on social media by the Iranian Embassy, decades after the death of Allama Iqbal, Muslims around the world feel the need for Iqbal’s ideas, which teach Islamic awakening, unity, self-realization, freedom and justice.

The 147th birth anniversary of poet Allama Iqbal is being celebrated across Pakistan on November 9.
