PDM forecasts rains, thunderstorm in parts of Pakistan

After a lengthy spell of smog, the Pakistan Metrological Department has finally forecast rain snow in different areas of Pakistan for next week.

According to the weather department, cloudy weather with rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in the mountains is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Friday and Saturday.

Rain and thunderstorms may occur in lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and upper Punjab, it said.

Smog and fog are expected in the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh, while dry weather will prevail in other regions.

Apart from that, the Met office said that rain and thunderstorms may occur in the Potohar region.

Most parts of the country are expected to remain mainly dry, with partly cloudy weather in the northern regions.
