Iran kills 70 Mossad-affiliated terrorists in southeast
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran has killed or arrested 69 terrorists linked to the Mossad during a major counterterrorism drill in the country’s southeast.
A total of 23 terrorists were killed and another 46 nabbed in various operations ever since the IRGC Ground Force launched it in the Sistan and Baluchestan province on November 1, General Ahmad Shafaei, a spokesman for the “Martyrs of Security” drill, said today.
He added that seven terrorists have also turned themselves in during the period.
He further said that undeniable fact about terrorists is that they rely on arrogant powers, particularly the intelligence service of Zionist regime.
The official said several members of the disbanded terror groups were non-Iranian nationals. These members had been hired by foreign intelligence agencies for sabotage and terror activities inside Iran.
He continued that six terrorists were arrested and four others were killed, three of whom were non-Iranians, in the latest operation.
10 members of Iran’s law enforcement forces were killed in a terrorist attack in the Gohar Kuh district of Taftan on October 26.
The so-called Jaish al-Adl terrorist group had claimed responsibility for the attack.
