Is milk spoiled or not? Now check with your smartphone

20 November, 2024 20:31

Australian scientists at the University of New South Wales have developed a way to check whether milk is spoiled or not by using a vibration motor inside each smartphone.

Modern smart phones are being given practically new features day by day. In the near future you will be using your phone to check whether milk has gone spoiled or not through the most innovative and efficient way.

Computer science and engineering researchers recently developed a new smartphone sensor called VibMilk that relies on the gadget’s vibration motor and inertial measurement unit (IMU) to test the freshness of milk without opening the container.

The high-tech method will one day be able to test 20 per cent of dairy products for currently spoiled milk

Professor Wen Ho said that if the milk is sealed in a box, it is necessary to open the package to check it. Doing so can expose bacteria and accelerate spoilage.

VibMilk is a safety-free method that means you can check the freshness of milk without opening the can or bottle.
