‘AR Rehman is like my father’

Mohini Dey, the guitarist of Oscar-winning Indian musician AR Rahman, has expressed her anger over the rumors that her divorce from her husband is related to AR Rahman.

Recently, the news of the divorce of the Oscar-winning Indian musician AR Rahman and his wife spread like wildfire, after which the guitarist Mohini Dey, who is part of AR Rahman’s group, also announced the separation from her husband. After which the social media users were connecting the divorce of the two with each other.

Earlier in her initial statement, Mohini Dey wrote on her Instagram story that I am getting too many requests for interviews and I know what they are about, so I am refusing them all because I have no interest in fueling baseless rumours.

According to Indian media reports, Mohini Dey has now released a statement in which she says, ‘I have many father figures who are role models in my life. I am lucky and grateful that he played an important role in my upbringing and AR Rehman is one of those whom I have a lot of respect for.’
