Qatar and Egypt discuss Gaza ceasefire following Lebanon truce

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty  discussed on advancing ceasefire efforts in Gaza after the recent truce reached in Lebanon.

Addressing a joint press conference in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, Sheikh Mohammed voiced hope that the Lebanon truce would lead to a genuine ceasefire and extend its effects to Gaza, ultimately ending the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

He further said that we are optimistic that this agreement will lead to real peace and bring an end to the suffering in Gaza.

Abdelatty stressed that the longstanding joint efforts between Egypt and Qatar to secure a ceasefire that he described as crucial to halting the bloodshed and ensuring the release of both hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
