Champions Trophy: PCB wants ICC to give suitable solution
After refusing to accept the hybrid-model for the ICC Champions Trophy, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now looking for a suitable solution from the International Cricket Council on the matter.
The Board has sent a clear message to the ICC that if a workable formula is presented, then the matter will move forward.
Pakistan has also made it clear to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the ICC that it will not take the tournament to a neutral venue without any solid reason and if the ICC insist on a neutral venue, then Pakistan will never play cricket in India.
On Friday, ICC hold an emergency meeting on the issue, in which it was decided that the PCB, BCCI and ICC will find a workable solution regarding the tournament.
The meeting has been postponed till today (Saturday). However, it was postponed once again.
The PCB officials had contacted various stakeholders after yesterday’s meeting and explained their position regarding the tournament.
