Skin is the largest organ in your body and its health depends on your diet and what you eat can be reflected outward on your skin. Some other factors, including smoking, sun exposure, and sleep, also affect skin health and signs of aging, says the American Academy of Dermatology.

Once, a skin professional once looked at my face and said, “You eat loads of sugar, don’t you?” I was shocked that how he know about and it’s true because on that time I love sweet products and cookies, but the fact that it was clear from looking at my skin was not welcome news.

Actually this signs shows by a scientific process, called as Glycation, and occurs when sugar molecules attach to fats and proteins, causing a loss of elasticity in the skin, lines and dark spots. Glycation is doing the Aging in our body by forming advanced glycation end products (AGE’s). Sugar and can harm collagen and elastin fibers in the skin by AGE’s also tend to have crosshatched lines in places such as the upper lip, which can harm collagen and elastin fibers in the skin, the proteins responsible for maintaining skin’s structure and elasticity. Additionally, glycation may increase the formation of free radicals that damage skin. For someone with a high-sugar diet, this could promote fine lines and Wrinkles.

Glycation is word that similars to glucose and if you intake more glucose in the form of sugar and other sweet products, they increase your blood glucose levels and also increase your glycation process, they also increase aging of your skin and slowly aging of your organs. On the other hand, if you intake less sugars, your glucose levels is lower and also lower the glycation process and as a result your aging process is also slow down.

As discussed, the glycation process affects the skin’s collagen production and skin elasticity, which leads to premature ageing. Collagen plays a vital role in skin’s youthful appearance. Glycation also consumes vital antioxidant enzymes that normally protect the skin from free radicals. With less antioxidants existing, the skin becomes more vulnerable to oxidative stress. Its mean if we intake high sugary products, it will faster the glycation then faster the aging process.

Sugar is the poison for your body nee to avoid it. Skin experts suggested that consuming antioxidant-rich foods such as green tea, red grapes and blueberries to help stimulate collagen and avoid sugar in high content. Aging is process that we can’t stop it but we have ability to slow down this process by intake healthy diet like sports man and Showbiz celebrities who just follow health life style and take health diet.
