7.1 magnitude earthquake kills dozens of people in Tibet

At least 32 people were killed and 38 injured as a result of a 7.1-magnitude earthquake in the remote region of China’s Tibet this morning, while several buildings collapsed. According to the French news agency “AFP”, earthquake tremors were also felt in Kathmandu, the capital of neighboring Nepal and in some parts of India.

In the videos released by China’s state broadcaster CCTV, it can be seen that after the earthquake, the walls of the damaged houses are broken and the debris is scattered in the ruins.

According to the Chinese official media report, the tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Nepal, Bhutan and India, many buildings collapsed due to the earthquake in Tibet.
