Trump threatens ‘hell’ for Gaza if Hamas doesn’t set free hostages by Jan 20

US President-elect Donald Trump has once again warned that “all hell will break out in the Middle East” if Hamas does not set free the hostages in Gaza by the time he is inaugurated on Jan. 20.Addressing a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said: “And it will not be good for Hamas and it will not be good frankly for anyone.”

He added that we want to get back those hostages for Israel and for us. You know, we do have people that are hostages being held.”
The US president-elect further warned that: “And I’ll just say it again, if this deal is not done with the people representing our nation, by the time I get to office, all hell is going to break out.”

However, he did not specify what action he would take if the hostages were not set free.

About 100 hostages are considered to remain in captivity in Gaza.

On Monday, Hamas had released a list with the names of 34 hostages that it said it is willing to release in the first phase of a possible ceasefire agreement with Israel.

Donald Trump once again issued his warning as Steve Witkoff, his designated envoy to the Middle East, told media there has been a lot of progress in talks in Doha to win the release of hostages.
The designated envoy said that he believes we’ve been on the verge of it.
