They were reduced to 38/7 as Noman came to bowl his third over in the first session in Multan.
He became the first Pakistani spinner to bag a hat-trick in the format.
Noman removed, Justin Greaves (1), Tevin Imlach (0) and Kevin Sinclair (0).
Apart from Noman, Sajid Ali claimed two wickets in the game, while Kashif Ali, who came into the side in place of Khurram Shehzad, also bagged a wicket.
It is worth mentioning here that, Pakistan won the first Test by 127 runs thanks to impressive performance from both spinners.
