Establishment denies receiving any letter from PTI founder

04 February, 2025 15:13

Establishment on Tuesday dismissed reports of receiving any letter from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister.

As per report, there is no truth to the media claims that former Premier has written a letter to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir.

They further clarified that no such letter has been received, nor is the establishment interested in reading it.

“The PTI has attempted to stage another failed drama in the name of writing a letter,” SAMAA TV citing its sources stated. “Establishment remains uninterested in such tactics. Even if a letter were sent, it would not be entertained.”

The officials once again clarified that the military establishment has consistently maintained its position that if the PTI wants to discuss anything, it should do it with politicians and not through them.

The clarification came just a day after media reports suggesting that the imprisoned PTI chief had written to the army chief.

Meanwhile, sources within the PTI claimed that the it was an attempt to initiate dialogue with the establishment amid the party’s ongoing political struggles.
