Drone attack at Moqtada Sadr house in Najaf reported today.

French news agency reported that a drone dropped a bomb on the home of Iraqi cleric Moqtada Sadr in the shrine city of Najaf early Saturday.

But he was not in the country, sources within his party said.

Reportedly, social media circulated some images showing as though he was attending a lecture of a Grand Ayatollah in Iran.

Moqtada leads an alliance Al Sairoun in Iraq’s parliamentary politics. He also supports the anti corruption rallies for reforms.

However, it remains unclear till the filing of this report whom the drone belonged to.
