Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi met China Navy officials during Thursday visit.

Specially, he met with Deputy Commander of Southern Theatre Command, Vice Admiral Dong Jun.
Furthermore, he discussed various issues with him.
Admiral Abbasi said the Sea Guardians-2020 is a manifestation of the long-term relationship of Pakistan and China.
While talking to him, he called the exercise as a manifestation of mutual trust of the two countries.
He said the joint exercise will further strengthen the two countries’ commitment to the region’s peace and stability.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi praised the professional abilities and capabilities of Chinese Navy personnel.
Pakistan and China begin naval exercise
Pakistan and China began naval exercise Sea Guardians 2020, sixth bilateral exercise in Karachi on Jan06.
Deputy Commander of Chinese Navy’s Southern Theater Command attended inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
Meanwhile, Commander Pakistan fleet Vice Admiral Asif Khaliq also spoke.
He said Sea Guardians will usher into a new era of cooperation between navies of the two countries.
According to Pakistan Navy spokesperson, Pakistan Navy’s assets and Chinese naval assets are taking part. Moreover, Chinese warships, fleet tanker and marine forces take part in the exercise.
Furthermore, the spokesperson said Exercise Sea Guardians 2020 aims at exchanging professional experiences against maritime threats.
Besides, the exercise also aimed at naval cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, he aid this bilateral exercise will also play a role in promotion of safe and stable maritime environment in the region.
