Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood meets Qatari counterpart in Doha today.

While talking to Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Muhammad Bin Abdur Rehman in Doha on Saturday, he highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to reduce tension in Middle East.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan will continue its efforts in establishing peace in the Middle East and South Asian regions.

He said Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan. He also noted that world is acknowledhingh Pakistan’s sincere efforts in this regard.

While referring to Pakistan’s relations with Qatar, he said that Pakistan gives much importance with its relations with Doha.

However, Pakistan wants to enhance multidimensional cooperation with Qatar.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister of Pakistan also briefed him on IOJK situation.

He said that Indian occupation forces perpetrate huge human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, he said that 8 million innocent Kashmiris are facing continued lock down and detention in the valley for last five months.

Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Muhammad Bin Abdur Rehman also serves his country as Deputy Prime Minister.

He appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in Afghan Peace process and its role in establishing peace in the region.

Foreign Minister of Pakistan’s US visit

Pakistan FM briefed Pompeo on meetings with Saudi and Iran officials during his recent visits to those countries.  

According to Radio Pakistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to play its due role in de-escalating prevailing tensions and promote peace in the Middle Eastern region.

He expressed these views while talking to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington today.

Furthermore, the two leaders exchanged views on matters pertaining to Pak-US bilateral cooperation, regional security situation and Afghan peace process.
