Bipin Rawat provocative statements

The human rights bodies and activists condemned provocative and dangerous statements.
The newly appointed India’s Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat continues to disseminate hate materials.
Hence, Barrister Tramboo and Professor Shawl issued their statements in London.
They said that Indian designs aim at torturing Kashmiri boys physically and mentally during detention.
Furthermore, they slammed India for detaining Kashmiris at unknown places mostly after 5th August 2019.
The statements asked the international community including the United Nations, the US, the UK, the EU and China to take notice of the worst situation.
They also urged them to take notice of the unjust might- based policy of India in the world’s most militarized zone, Kashmir.

Indian Congress Party

Meanwhile, Congress Party of India vowed to pass resolutions against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act.
The Congress leader Ahmed Patel said they would pass resolutions against CAA in state assemblies of Rajasthan, Madhya Pardesh and Chhattisgarh.
There, they enjoy enough strength to reject the bill legally.
However, he further said that the Congress want to send a clear message to the central government to reconsider the Act.

State assemblies of Punjab and Kerala have already passed resolutions.
They have asked the central government to repeal of Citizenship Amendment Act.
But, Modi government continued to target Muslims under the discriminatory law.
