Adviser to PM asks Pakistani exporters to penetrate African markets.

Adviser for Commerce, Industry and Textile Production, Abdul Razak Dawood said this, while talking to a news channel.

He said that Pakistan has rich potential to export quality rice, poultry, fisheries, fruits and vegetable products across the world.

He urged the exporters to penetrate in African countries’ markets.

The adviser urged them to introduce Pakistan’s products in a befitting manner since Africa is a region of 54-nations.

He further said the government wanted to achieve the target of $5 billion through export of rice and in its allied sector.

For that he pointed to the vibrant policy of the government which government would highlight at conferences and expos soon.

He stressed the need for adopting the export-led growth strategy and made in Pakistan for the progress and prosperity of the country.

Pakistan wants to double Africa trade

Pakistan eyes double trade with African countries in next 5 years, said Adviser to the PM on Commerce, Industries and Investment.
Abdul Razak Dawood had said this while addressing to “Pak-Africa Trade Development Conference at Kenyan capital Nairobi.
According to him, Pakistan wants to double its trade with Africa countries.
He said Pakistan-Africa trade can easily be increased manifolds in coming years.
Dawood noted concrete opportunities that exist between the two sides that may help increase trade.
He said “Look Africa Policy Initiative” has already been put into motion and this is reflective of our broader policy towards Africa.
The adviser said both sides need to accelerate export diversification and product sophistication and make our trade more inclusive.
He said Pakistan is opening six new Trade Wings at Embassies in Africa to boost bilateral economic cooperation.
He said that these include Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Senegal, Sudan and Tanzania.

The two-day first ever Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference held under the aegis of Pakistan and Kenya jointly.
