Pakistan again summons Indian envoy to lodge protest over LoC violation.

The FO lodged strong protest at the India’s recent ceasefire violations in Jabbar, Sandhara, Sumbal Gali and Dabsi villages of Kotli District along LoC.
While condemning Indian forces over targeting innocent civilians, Director General, South Asia & SAARC Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry underscored that such senseless Indian acts are clear violation of the 2003 ceasefire understanding.
He also underlined it as complete disregard for international human rights and international norms.

He said such aggressive acts further vitiate the tense atmosphere along the LoC.
Furthermore, the DG termed Indian aggressive acts a threat to regional peace and stability.
He said that by raising tensions along the LoC and the Working Boundary (WB), India cannot divert attention from the worsening human rights situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K).

He called upon the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding.
The DG also urged India to investigate incidents of deliberate ceasefire violations and maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary.
He also urged New Delhi to permit the United Nations Military Observer Group in India to play its mandated role as per the United Nations Security Council.
