Rana Sanaullah indictment in ANF case deferred till March 28.

An anti-narcotics court judge Shakir Hassan presided over the hearing of the ANF drug case against former Punjab law minister.
The judge announced at the beginning that today is the date to indict Rana Sanaullah and other accused in the case.

But the lawyer of the co-accused sought more time from the court to properly study the case.
The lawyer said they were not being provided copies of the case.
While opposing the plea, the ANF counsel said that the accused of the case were adopting delaying tactics.
The ANF lawyer furtehr stated how can they provide such documents, which not included in the challan of the case.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till March 28 by warning that the indictment would not be delayed on the next hearing.
Notably, the ANF arrested Rana Sanaullah in July 2019 from the Islamabad-Lahore motorway near the Sukheki area.
According to ANF spokesperson, the ANF officials seized drugs from the PML-N leader’s car. Rana was released on bail on Dec 26.

Rana Sanaullah also faces corruption probe

A joint investigation team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is probing PMLN lawmaker Rana Sanaullah.
The sources told the media that the NAB directed Rana Sanaullah to bring details of the assets of him and his family members.
NAB also asked him to further clarify the filing of the assets he submitted on Jan. 2 at the bureau’s headquarters in Lahore.
On Jan 3, a three-member investigation team questioned hm on charges that he owned assets more than his income.
Later, NAB again summoned him on Feb. 3 in the same case while being asked to submit documents of the lands and the farmhouse he owned.
They directed Mr Sanaullah to fill a required form for the assessment of the assets in the same case to clearly point out whether his assets increased or decreased on an annual basis.
