Army Chief visits Pakistan Ordnance Factories at Wah today (Friday).

Chairman POF Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar received  Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The army chief termed technological up-gradation, modernization and indigenous development to attain self-reliance in defence production as vital to meet challenges of future battlefield.

During his visit to Pakistan Ordnance Factories, he got detailed briefing on performance of various production units of POF.

The briefing focused on targets achieved and future projects.

POF envisaged projects for modernization for cost effective and sustainable production and acquisition of modern technology in line with prevailing operational requirements of Pakistan Armed Forces.

Moreover, the POF personnel apprised General Bajwa on the POF endeavours for international ventures.

Their ventures focus on exports to contribute to national exchequer.

Meanwhile, he visited the display lounge that showcased newly developed defence products.

While appreciating POF management and staff, the COAS termed POF a force behind the Armed Forces serving as backbone in defence of Pakistan.
