Speaker NA terms Pakistan Iran cooperation vital for regional prosperity.

National Assembly’s speaker Asad Qaiser expressed these views, while talking to Iranian Ambassador Syed Muhammad Ali Hussain in Islamabad.

He further said enhancing ties between both countries would harness regional development and prosperity.

The speaker said that Pakistan and Iran are brotherly Islamic countries which have strong mutual ties based upon brotherhood and Islamic fraternity.

He said that trade activities across the Pakistan-Iran border need special focus.

Asad Qaiser said trade activities across border would increase the trade volume between both countries exponentially.

Moreover, he also underlined unity among Muslim countries as imperative to resolve the issues which the Muslim Ummah is facing across the world.

He said Parliamentary diplomacy and people to people contacts will play an important role among the Muslim Ummah.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Ambassador said his country values high ties with Pakistan.

He called it desirable to enhance these ties on the basis of trade and business.

Furthermore, he appreciated the role of Pakistan for bringing regional peace.

Pakistan and Iran have enhanced their bilateral diplomatic contacts during the tenure of current government.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has visited Iran, while Iranian key officials have also visited Pakistan.

Even military to military relations also witnessed improvement.
