On the other, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz suffers from infighting over nomination of Mushahidullah Khan.
PTI leader Fareed Rehman accused former Prime Minister Gillani of concealing the facts.
He blamed Yousaf Raza Gillani has not mentioned his sentence in the contempt of court case in his nomination papers.
The PTI member further said that Gillani doesn’t fulfill the requirement of Article 62 of the Constitution.
Earlier, opposition parties had put forward the name of Yousaf Raza Gillani as a joint candidate of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for the Senate polls.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz has said the opponents of open ballot in Senate elections want continuation of corrupt system.
However, he made clear Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared a war against corrupt system.
Shibli state this in a tweet on Tuesday.
He further said we are standing at an important point of parliamentary history.
The minister said form here they have to take a decision whether the public representatives come to the parliament on the basis of merit and capability or selling and purchase of votes.
