A bus carrying devotees from Iran met with an accident in Makran, martyring 12 people and injuring more than 30.

The accident happened to the devotees’ bus on the Makran Coastal Highway near Buzzi Top as it fell into a ditch due to brake failure.

According to rescue sources, 12 people were died and more than 30 were injured in the accident.

The police said that the bus coming from Iran was going to Punjab with pilgrims and the injured and dead were shifted to nearby hospitals.

Police officials further said that the pilgrims belong to Lahore and Gujranwala.

It should be remembered that a few days ago there was an accident in the bus of Pakistani pilgrims in Iran in which 35 people were martyred and 15 were injured.

Meanwhile, serious irregularities by tour operators for pilgrims to Iran have come to light.

Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Aurangzeb Badini, taking action on the irregularities of tour operators, banned bogus buses and drivers from entering Gwadar.

The deputy commissioner has said that Iran had issued permits to a large number of Pakistani pilgrims for pilgrimage, but domestic tour operators did not maintain discipline.

He also said that the tour operators had provided incorrect vehicle numbers and names of the drivers, due to these irregularities the visitors had to face difficulties.
