Israel restores underground hospital amid fears of attack
Israel has reactivated an underground temporary hospital in the city of Haifa.
According to a report by the BBC, a large underground hospital has been set up in Haifa, equipped with hundreds of beds for patients.
The hospital, located in a parking plaza, was originally established in 2006 by the Rambam Medical Center during the war between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
The facility has the capacity to accommodate 2,000 individuals and is stocked with all necessary medical equipment and supplies. However, currently, there are no patients receiving treatment at the hospital.
The hospital is intended to provide medical care to those injured in a potential attack by Iran and its allies.
In the event of an attack, patients from other hospitals can be transferred to this underground facility.
This precautionary measure comes after the martyrdom of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
