Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has sold her house in Bandra amid the delay in the release of the film ‘Emergency’.

According to media reports, the sale of the house has taken place at a time when Kangana Ranaut’s controversial film ‘Emergency’ has not yet been cleared for release by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Kangana sold the apartment for 32 crore rupees while the deal was finalized on 5 September 2024. Remember that the actress bought this house in 2017 for 20 crore rupees.

Built on 3,075 square feet, the house also has a parking space of 565 square feet. Shweta Bathija is a partner in Kamalini Holdings, a company based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Shweta Bhatheja paid 1.92 crore stamp duty and 30,000 registration fee.

Kangana’s house became the subject of controversy when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished its illegal portion in 2020.

The actress had claimed that the Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra demolished a part of the house to take political revenge.

The Bollywood actress is currently busy with the production of the film ‘Emergency’ which was to be released in theaters on September 6 but the Censor Board did not allow it due to its anti-Sikh content.
