Karachi will receive heavy rain today at this time

The Meteorological Department has made another forecast regarding the rains in the port city.

In a statement, the Meteorological Department predicted that light rain will continue intermittently in Karachi today while it will intensify in afternoon.

The rain will intensify as the system approaches, while heavy rains will begin in the city from today afternoon, it added.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the rain will continue intermittently till August 30 due to which there is a possibility of urban flooding in the city.

Earlier, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds hit parts of the city last night.

Rain showers with gusty winds lashed Malir Cantt and adjoining areas as thunderstorms, strong winds and drizzle were recorded in the airport area.
