Laiba Khan reveals why her father forbade her to enter showbiz

Pakistani actress Laiba Khan has revealed that she had memorized the Holy Quran at the age of 9.

An interview clip of actress Laiba Khan is going viral on social media, in which she revealed: “I am a Hafiz Quran. I started memorizing it at the age of 7 on the wish of my parents and completed it at the age of 9′.

Laiba added: “I didn’t want to memorize in my childhood, but I memorized it on my mother’s wish and when I started reading the Holy Quran, I was impressed because my memory is very good, so I completed the memorization within 2 years.”

The actress said that after memorizing she resumed her studies and that’s why she got admission in class 6th.

About entering showbiz, she said that after matriculation, she went with her mother to the drama set of actress Iman. The casting head offered me acting on the same set, which I refused at first. But then the supporters started pouring in, she continued.

Laiba Khan further said: “Since I am a memorizer of Quran, this is the reason why father did not like to come to dramas. In the beginning of showbiz, father did not talk and was angry and did not even watch dramas,” the actress said.

She further said that her grandfather also did not like acting but her mother’s support played an important role in changing everyone’s attitude.
