Man kills sister for not waking up for Fajr prayers

NOWSHERA: A man allegedly killed his sister in KP’s Nowshera after she did not wake up to offer his Fajr prayers.

According to the police, the victim’s father, Mewa Gul, filed a First Information Report (FIR) stating that his son Hamza woke up his sister Asma for morning prayers, leading to a heated argument.

In a fit of rage, Hamza shot and killed Asma before fleeing the scene. The father claimed that he and other family members were asleep in their rooms during the incident.

The police have recovered the pistol and launched a search for the accused.

The incident is being investigated from various angles, and authorities are working to apprehend the suspect, said police.

Earlier in a similar incident, a man allegedly killed his father after he did not wake up to offer his Fajr prayers in Punjab’s Faisalabad.

The incident took place in the city’s Chishtia Town area where a resident, Shahbaz, allegedly killed his 50-year-old father, Mubashir Raza, by smashing his head in with a brick.
