Pro Khalifa Haftar forces announces ceasefire in the western region including capital Tripoli.

A spokesman of Libyan National Army Ahmed Mismari released a video statement.

In that, he said that LNA accepted a truce in the west. However, the ceasefire offer has come with the condition because they want other party also abides by ceasefire.

But Mismari warned that any breach will be met with a harsh response.

Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced Libyan peace talks in Berlin while urging Libya’s warring parties would need to play a major role to help find a solution.
