PTI-Nazriati refused to lend its ‘batsman’ symbol to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf

PTI-Nazriati turndown Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf request for using its electoral symbol ‘batsman’ for substituting PTI’s electoral symbol ‘bat’.

PTI-Nazriati chairman Akhtar Iqbal Dar said, “Everyone in the current PTI team is corrupt, I can’t talk to them.”

Akhtar Iqbal Dar refused to comment on PTI supremo Imran Khan but called all of PTI corrupt except Khan adding, while the party is occupied under (corrupt) people like barrister Gohar Ali there is no space left for any discussions.

ECP directed RO’s to not award ‘batsman’ symbol to PTI

On the other hand, Election Commission of Pakistan instructed the Returning Officers for issuing ‘batsman’ tickets excusively to PTI-Nazriati candidates not to other party members.

The ECP stated that under the Election Act, 2017 the candidates present the party affiliation certificate, by which a person cannot be a member of more than one party at a time; therefore no Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate will be awarded the PTI-Nazriati’s symbol ‘batsman’ for February 8 General Elections.
