Public and private schools in Islamabad have been closed today (Thursday) amid Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political rally.
According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner read: The administration’s primary concern is the safety of school children, and they have chosen to err on the side of caution.
“By keeping schools closed, the authorities aim to prevent any potential risks or disruptions that may arise from the rally,” it added.
The red zone has been sealed for security reasons.
It is worth mentioning here that the PTI has announced a rally in Islamabad today, which has contributed to the heightened security measures across the city.
Though, the administration has revoked the no objection certificate for the rally in the federal capital, the PTI remained optimistic for the gathering.
