Will it rain in Karachi today?

Karachi is likely to receive heavy rain with strong winds on Wednesday (today), the Pakistan Metrological Department said in its forecast.

As per the advisory, the weather will remain partially cloudy, hot and humid during the day across Sindh.

However, heavy downpour is expected in Karachi, Jacobabad, Dadu, and Jamshoro. The temperature in the port city would remain between 32°C to 34°C.

The winds are blowing from the southwest direction at a speed of 16 kilometres per hour with a 75 percent humidity level, it added.

Moreover, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan are also expected to receive heavy showers.

It is worth mentioning here that according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), torrential rains and thunderstorms across Pakistan claimed over 195 lives in the last 37 days.

The report encircled the devastation of properties, crops, livestock, and casualties caused by the monsoon spells.
