Chinese Air Force’s record increase in production of J20 stealth fighter jets a major challenge for the Pentagon

The Chinese Air Force has raised alarm bells for the Pentagon by increasing production of its latest fifth-generation stealth fighter jets at a record pace.
The latest photos from the factory show brand-new J20A-generation stealth fighters in their initial yellow factory primer, confirming that serial production of the aircraft, equipped with the latest WS15 turbofan engines, is now in full swing.
The People’s Liberation Army Air Force of China has set a target of adding about 1,000 J20s to its fleet by 2030, at a rate of 120 fighters per year.
This pace of procurement and production is far greater than any other air force in the world, and no country comes close to matching it.
