13 of a family dead in Dir Bala landslide

A tragic landslide on Friday claimed lives of 13 members of a family in Dir Bala’s Patrak area.

The landslide occurred due to heavy rainfall at night and swept away the house. Among the deceased are four women, seven children, and one man.

Rescue workers and police arrived at the sight and recovered bodies from the derbies. They were transferred to a local hospital.

Authorities said that the rescue operation faced challenges due to the rain and darkness.
