164000 people vaccinated against COVID 19 in a single day , says Minister for Planning Asad Umar.

In a tweet on Tuesday, he noted it for the first time that over one hundred and sixty four thousand people vaccinated against COVID-19 in a single day on Monday.

He further said the vaccination process of people aged forty and above also began yesterday across the country.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Dr. Sania Nishtar spoke at an ADB event.

She said massive rebuilding job would be required globally post COVID-19 with prioritizing gender related targets in all programs.

She was speaking at Asian Development Bank annual meeting virtually with focused discussions on a woman-focused recovery for a more inclusive post-COVID 19 future.

The meeting held in Manila.

It discussed that COVID-19 has wiped away a disproportionately higher share of women’s jobs.

Moreover, it was widening gender gaps in labor market access and increasing women’s vulnerability to poverty.

Over 160 Covid patients died

Meanwhile, over 160 Covid patients died during last 24 hours across the country.

The national tally on Tuesday of total active COVID-19 cases recorded 86,151 with 3,377 more people tested positive for the deadly virus.

According to NCOC, 5,018 people recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours.

Moreover, one hundred and sixty-one corona patients have died during past 24 hours.

As per the latest update from the National Command and Operation Centre, 140 of whom remained under treatment in hospital.

And 21 of them remained out of the hospital in their respective quarantines or homes.
