TikTok unveils AI-generated avatars

According to a report, TikTok will develop stock avatars for brands and creators that will require a licence to use them on a commercial basis. Similarly, a costume avatar option will also be available that will represent a user’s personality or a persona associated with a brand.

After this new tool, TikTok’s For You page may increase the number of videos based on AI technology, which will be labeled so that users know that they are watching a video produced by artificial intelligence technology.

TikTok official Andy Yang said that the AI ​​avatar will open up new opportunities for users.

The main aim of this feature is to promote e-commerce in TikTok and the company believes that AI avatars will be able to compete with human creators as well.

It should be noted that in April 2023, a report had said that TikTok is introducing a feature of avatars based on AI technology.

Under this feature, users will be able to upload 3 to 10 images and select 5 art styles.
