Detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders under threat due to Coronavirus, according to APHC spokesman.

In a statement in Srinagar today, spokesman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), lamented the conditions in occupied Kashmir.

He alerted lives of the illegally detained leaders of Kashmiri Hurriyet remain at a high risk due to the spread of Covid-19.

He said the announcement of Indian occupation authorities about releasing the Kashmiri detainees is just an eye wash.

The spokesman said thousands of Kashmiris are still under illegal detention.

Detainees include: top Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Mian Abdul Qayoom, Altaf Ahmad Fantosh, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Aasiya Andrabi, Fahmeeda Sofi and Nayeem Ahmad Khan,

Moreover, spokesman said these incarcerated Hurriyet leaders are being deprived of basic human facilities as well as medical care.

He said India had put Kashmiri leaders in such conditions in jails that coronavirus can easily infect them.

Earlier, senior APHC leader and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has strongly condemned the uncountable massacres which Indian forces perpetrated in the territory.

He said this in a statement issued in connection with the anniversary of April 1919 Jallianwaala Bagh massacre.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said New Delhi has a long history of brutality and bloody actions for its evil designs.

Meanwhile, Indian Army and police continued a cordon and search operation at Tender in Dachan area of Kishtwar district.

Indian police arrested five youth from Tujjar and Harwan areas of Sopore and labeled them as over-ground workers of mujahideen.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter also held a meeting in Islamabad.

During the meeting, leaders expressed concern over the loss of lives due to Indian Army’s mortar shelling on the civilian populations in occupied Kashmir and Azad Kashmir.
