A conference on the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir has called upon the Indian government to stop victimization of Kashmiri leaders.

They also demanded India to release them immediately.

The forum said COVID-19 has doubled the miseries of Kashmiri people who are already under lock down conditions for several months.

It said there is an acute shortage of food and other life-saving drugs as world charity organizations are not being provided access to occupied Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, the AJK President, Sardar Masood Khan, Members UK parliament lord Nazir Ahmed, Lord Qurban Hussain and Hurriyet leader Altaf Ahmed Butt have urged international community to take notice of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

A French- based Journalist organisation, Reporters Without Borders has urged India to allow journalists for working freely in occupied Kashmir.

In a statement, Head of Asia-Pacific desk of the organization Daniel Bastard has asked Indian government to stop harassing journalists in occupied valley by filing fake cases against them.

He said branding of journalists as terrorists in occupied Kashmir is against the basic ethics of journalism.
