Govt launches Yaran e Watan Online Pakistani Diaspora Health Initiative.

It launched for overseas Pakistani health professionals to enable them to become part of the national fight against Coronavirus.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza said, while addressing a news briefing in Islamabad this afternoon.

He said health experts can register themselves on the website yaranewatan.gov.pk.

It launched in collaboration with Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development with support from the Pakistani diaspora health organizations.

The Special Assistant said the platform will help utilize the full potential of the heterogeneous diaspora community.

They include medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, health economists, public health professionals and other professionals, in assisting development of Pakistan’s health sector.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan said parliament has a pivotal role in the fight against Coronavirus.

He said this while talking to the National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser in Islamabad today.

PM Khan said implementing the decisions taken at the parliament level is our priority.

He said the government is taking every possible step to rid the country of this virus.

The Prime Minister said we have to surmount this challenge collectively as a nation.

Asad Qaiser said a special parliamentary committee on coronavirus comprising parliamentary leaders has been constituted.

He said the committee has given positive suggestions to cope with the current situation.

The Speaker also apprised the Prime Minister about matters pertaining to the convening of the session of the National Assembly.
