Coronavirus kills 140 more Pakistanis during last 24 hours.

According to the fresh statistics from National Command and Operation Centre, 4298 new positive cases of Coronavirus infection also reported in the country.

With 140 more deaths, the death toll due to Coronavirus has now reached 18,677.

Besides, 44846 tests conducted during last 24 hours.

The positivity ratio remained nine point five eight percent.

Meanwhile, government appealed to people to strictly observe SOPs to overcome Coronavirus spread.

Govt appeals to people to strictly observe SOPs

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has urged the people to spend the last few days of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak and Eid-ul-Fitr with simplicity and caution.

In a tweet on Friday, he expressed satisfaction that due to timely decisions, the country is not facing the kind of COVID-19 situation currently as compared to the neighboring country.

However, he said we have to spend this critical time with caution.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan also appealed the people to strictly observe Corona Standard Operation Procedures during Eid holidays.

She said this, while addressing the media persons in Rawalpindi on Friday.

Furthermore, she urged the people to act like civilized citizens in implementation of COVID SOPs.

Because, it remains the matter of lives.

She further underlined smart lockdown as the only option to get rid of this pandemic as the nation can’t afford complete lockdown.

She warned public to not go for public gatherings and conventional parties during Eid holidays.
