Hamas claims it captured Israeli soldiers in Gaza

The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has claimed to capture Israeli soldiers in Gaza.

According to foreign media, the spokesman of the armed wing of Hamas, Izz al-Din al-Qassem Brigades, Abu Ubaida, said that the fighters of the organization killed several Israeli soldiers and took many prisoners hostage during the fighting in the Jabalia camp in Gaza.

The spokesman further said that that Hamas fighters lured the Israeli army into an ambush inside a tunnel and then killed and wounded several soldiers while also taking them prisoner.

The media report said that the spokesman did not provide any information regarding the number of Israeli soldiers captured.

On the other hand, the Israeli army has denied the claim of taking the soldiers of Hamas as prisoners.

It should be noted that more than 35,000 Palestinians, including a large number of children and women, have been martyred in Israeli attacks since October 7.
