Karan Johar reveals story behind casting Alia in ‘Student of the Year’

Famous Bollywood director Karan Johar has revealed that Varun and Siddharth did not want to cast Alia in the famous film ‘Student of the Year’.
According to Indian media, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra attended director Karan Johar’s popular show ‘Koffee With Karan Season 8’ where both the actors made an interesting revelation about their initial reaction to Alia’s casting in the film.
During the conversation, Karan revealed that Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan were apprehensive about Alia Bhatt being chosen for the lead role, to which the actors expressed their doubts and sent a message saying that the actress was too young for the role.
The host said that Varun used to stop me from casting Alia Bhatt by sending me pictures of other girls. To which Varun expressed embarrassment saying that he did not know Alia before.
Speaking on the same, Siddharth Malhotra praised Alia and said that finally the actress proved herself with her performance.
