A fact related to the famous movie ‘Sholay’ of the Indian film industry has come to light.

Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy’s famous movie ‘Sholay’, which was released in 1975, still rules the hearts of movie buffs due to its lively dialogues and brilliant performances by the actors.

In the film, famous Bollywood actors Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan besides Asrani, Jagdeep showed their acting qualities.

According to the Indian media, it has been revealed that how much the actors were paid in this film, which was made with a budget of 3 crores Indian rupees.

Dharmendra was paid 1,50,000 rupees for acting in this film as he was known as the most expensive actors of that time.

Sanjeev Kumar was the second highest paid actor in this film after Dharmendra who got 1, 25,000 rupees for this movie while Amitabh Bachchan was the second lead in this but he was paid 100,000, which was less than Sanjeev Kumar.

Hema Malini, who played the role of Basanti, was paid 75,000 and Jaya Bachchan, who played the role of Radha, was offered only 35,000, making her the lowest paid actress in the movie.

Amjad Khan, the most famous character of the film, Gabbar Singh, took only 50,000 rupees to play this famous role.
