Accountability for May 9 attacks: Punishing the key figures

Events of 9 May inflicted a serious blow to national security, public infrastructure, and people’s trust. The violence, vandalism & hostility towards state institutions cannot be ignored.

While some individuals have been punished, true justice requires that masterminds behind the Black Day be held accountable in letter & spirit. Till then, process of justice remains incomplete, reinforcing the perception that powerful can evade consequences.

It is crucial to make an example of those responsible to deter future acts of such severity. History shows that when crimes go unpunished or main culprits are spared, these crimes reoccur with greater intensity.

Leaving these individuals unpunished shall set a dangerous precedent & could lead to further attacks on national interests & security.

Ensuring justice in this case is not only a matter of upholding law but also vital for national security and stability.

Punishing key figures especially Imran Khan will restore public confidence in state institutions & deter future threats to the country’s peace and integrity.

For the sake of national interest & stability, exemplary punishment for masterminds of 9 May is not a choice but a compulsion.
